About me
I am originally from Ireland and I have been in Germany since 2009.
As jobs in Supply Chain Management were scarce in 2009 in Germany, I began a new career as a business English coach where I have had the privilege to help improve the business English of many people in many walks of life and business disciplines. I have conducted individual, group and online coaching sessions at various companies such as Daimler AG, Robert Bosch Group, SCA Hygiene Products GmbH, Mazars GmbH & Co. KG, Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau GmbH, Kühne & Nagel and other companies, mainly in the Stuttgart area. From here I excelled and branched out into intercultural training and university lecturing.
Intercultural training as with language training requires social competence and authenticity in every given situation. The ability to utilize this social competence with my coaching skills to very diverse personalities and environments has led me to this new field of intercultural competence for companies big and small, global or local. Evereybody needs these skills for the present and for the future. It is never too late to improve your CQ: Cultural Intelligence.
Branching out into lecturing has provided me with the basis to constantly remain up to date with the latest tends in the area of intercultural competence as well as in the business world. I can then marry these business trends with the intercultural trends and knowledge to provide accurate case studies and concrete examples. This then really brings the learning home for the in-company course participants or university students. They get a real feeling of the importance of cultural intelligence and can see the invaluable value attained from such knowledge.
My interest in all-thing intercultural really began with my extensive travel experience. I have lived and worked in the U.S.A, Australia, Ireland and Germany and have travelled extensively in Europe but also Africa. In 2005-2006 I completed a full circumnavigation of the globe travelling through many countries. I am now in a position to harness these intercultural experiences with my business background to share my knowledge and bring it to you!
